Matt has been with the County of Santa Clara since February 2000. He started as a web developer and later lead the County’s e-Government initiative as the County Webmaster in 2002. Matt is currently the Acting CTO and has also held positions as an IT Architect/Planner for 7 years and a senior IT Manager for 8 years. 

Prior to the County, Matt held positions in the private sector as a technical architect, sales engineer, business analyst and an operations manager of the customer service, shipping and assembly divisions of a computer manufacturing company. Matt has a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and is a proud parent of a daughter who graduated from UCLA and a son who started UCLA this year. ​
