Midpen Open Space is a regional, independent special district with the mission to preserve a greenbelt of land in perpetuity. Except under rare circumstances like wildfires, Midpen’s preserves are free and open to the public 365 days per year so you can enjoy room to breathe.

Jamie Hawk and Nathan Greig are part of Midpen’s GIS team. Our day-to-day responsibilities include managing an enterprise GIS platform and spatial databases, constructing maps for each department and business process in our organization, and delivering smart solutions that delegate data management to subject matter experts and instill geographic awareness in all our work.

Jamie holds an M.A. in Geography, Nathan an M.S. in GIScience, both from San Francisco State University, and both are Bay Area natives.
