Rebecca manages the County Parks Department’s Countywide Trails Program, tasked with implementing the program's Master Plan, which envisions a comprehensive network of over 800 miles of regional, subregional, and connector trails throughout Santa Clara County. Rebecca has an interdisciplinary background in public access, environmental policy and permitting, ecology, and advocacy on a range of issues at state and regional scales.
She holds a Master of Science in energy and resources from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies/biology from UC Santa Cruz.
Monica Zhang
Associate GIS Analyst
Santa Clara County Parks
Monica is an Associate GIS Analyst with Santa Clara County Parks. Her career has generally focused on the outdoors, including being a part of the Enterprise GIS team at the National Audubon Society, experience with the NASA DEVELOP program in remote sensing analysis, and work as a wildlife biologist. While she is new at Santa Clara County Parks, she is excited to support the work of the various groups in the department and learn more about the Parks system.
